REP. CAM WARD ANNOUNCES $3,000 GRANT FOR HELENA COMMUNITY CENTER
Helena, Alabama- State Representative Cam Ward announced a $3,000 grant today for the City of Helena. Ward made the announcement along with Mayor Sonny Penhale at Helena City Hall.
The grant, which was part of a 2009 General Fund Supplemental Appropriation, is to be used to help purchase new equipment and furniture for Helena’s community center.
“Helena is one of the fastest growing communities in the State of Alabama. It is impossible to overstate the demands this growth has placed on city services,” said Representative Ward. “I hope this grant will help the city to continue providing first class facilities for its residents,” Ward said.
Representative Ward has represented part of Helena in the Alabama House of Representatives in District 49 for the last seven years.
